Adam was born in Concord, MA in January 1987. Several years later, he moved to the rural town of Ashby, MA, where he spent the next 18 years of his life. By education, he is a well-rounded metalsmith, but also works in charcoal, oil paint, and glass.

He first fell in love with working metal during his freshman year in high school (2001), and has been doing it ever since. He graduated from Cushing Academy in 2005, and continued his education at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, OH. There, he pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, with a concentration in jewelry/metals and sculpture, and graduated in 2009. Afterwards, Adam continued his education the traditional way: through apprenticeships and work/study opportunities. In october of 2010, he started apprenticing as an ornamental blacksmith with master smith, Adam Howard. His apprenticeship lasted a year and a half at Grafton Forge, located in Grafton, VT. He also briefly studied with Peter Erickson, a master silversmith located in Gardener, MA, in order to learn the basics of making silverware.

Presently, Adam takes on commission work, in addition to collaborating with a local non-profit organization, The Revolving Museum. The Revolving Museum is a non-profit organization directed by Jerry Beck, which seeks to unify communities through means of public and visual performance art.

The focus of Adam's work is centered around the use of a specialized dual-process technique referred to as Chasing & Repousse. Through the use of these two techniques, 2D images are transferred onto thin sheet metal, and then "pushed," through the metal in order to create a 3D low relief. Inspired by the realism of plants, animals, and nature, Adam seeks to create an experience for the viewer that activates memory and perception.
